From April to May 2024, our Geelong branch collaborated with Barwon Asset Solutions to execute a significant refurbishment project on a key water storage facility in Lorne, known as “Teddy’s Tank.”
This 218,000-litre tank, strategically located near Teddy’s Lookout, is vital for ensuring water security in the region.
The project was led by our experienced Project Manager, Stephen Camilleri, and involved a dedicated team of four skilled plumbers.
The scope of work included the complete drainage and isolation of the tank, followed by an extensive refurbishment process. This process encompassed a full roof restoration to address any potential vulnerabilities, as well as a new aluminium frame, aluminium roof sheets and flashings, new roof hatch with roof access and handrails. The aluminium was chosen as it is non-corrosive and provides longevity to Teddy’s Tank providing it remains a safe and sustainable water supply for Lorne.
This project highlights our commitment to maintaining and improving critical infrastructure that serves the community. By ensuring the ongoing functionality and reliability of Teddy’s Tank, we are contributing to the sustainable management of Lorne’s water resources, supporting the region’s needs well into the future.
